German-born striker Jeffrey Schlupp was happy with his output in his first day of training with the Black Stars on Friday.

The 18-year-old is part of coach Goran Stevanovic's 23-man squad for the match against Gabon on Tuesday.

Leicester City striker is making his first appearance in the team after being handed his debut call this week.

After training with the squad for the first time on Friday morning he was delighted to have met with the Black Stars.

"Training went well, good to meet all the lads," the Leicester City striker tweeted.

Schlupp was handed a shock debut call-up by Ghana for two friendlies this month but Sierra Leone pulled out.

The call-up of Schlupp, who was born in Germany, has come as a surprise for many but his performances for the Championship side convinced the Serbian coach.

The striker has scored five goals for Leicester City in all competitions so far this season.
