Jeffrey Schlupp has reveled in Crystal Palace win over Doncaster Rovers in the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday.

The Eagles advanced to the quarter-finals of the Cup competition after defeating third-tier side Doncaster 2-0 at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Roy Hodgson's men were ahead after only eight minutes, thanks to a brilliant individual effort from Schlupp.

Max Meyer doubled the lead as he converted from close range just before half-time after clever play from Luka Milivojevic and Andros Townsend.

Looking back at the goal following the game's final whistle, Schlupp said: "I found a bit of space on the left side so I drove into the space and before I knew it, I was in the box. I thought I'd get a good strike on it and see what happens and thankfully it went in."

However, despite the scoreline and the Eagles' dominance during the match, the Ghanaian midfielder remarked that progression had not been easy and that his side are now pleased with having made their way through yet another cup challenge.

"We knew it was going to be a tough one and anyone who watched today saw that they [Doncaster] played good football but we're obviously pleased to have come here and won the game. We scored two good goals and are through to the next round."
