Ghana and Crystal Palace midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp has been ruled out of Saturday's fixture against Bournemouth due to injury.

Schlupp picked up an injury in training on Thursday and will not be included in the squad along with his teammates James Tomkins and Martin Kelly.

This is another setback for the Ghanaian defender who suffered a hip injury and had to be sidelined for several weeks before making a return against Watford on March 7 where he was named on the bench.

Schlupp couldn't feature for his side after his injury return before the league was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking to the media on their injuries Crystal Palace coach Roy Hodgson said, "James Tomkins hasn’t recovered, we hoped he would but he hasn’t. Jeff Schlupp picked up an injury during our training sessions early on and he's still out with that injury and now Martin Kelly has picked up a calf injury to add to the thigh injury that he had and suffered from,".

"It’s a bit disappointing, especially with regards to James Tomkins and Martin Kelly, who were injured basically when we stopped and I was rather hoping they’d recover. But they’ve picked up fresh injuries."

The 28-year-old has not enjoyed the current campaign due to injuries.

Palace are 11th on the standings, 12 points clear of 18th-placed Bournemouth.
