Leeds United have agreed terms with Jesse Marsch to become their new head coach, 90min understands.
Marsch is set to be confirmed as Marcelo Bielsa's successor on Monday, after successful talks over the weekend saw agreement reached in principle with Leeds.
90min revealed on Saturday that Marsch was already Leeds' number one target to replace Bielsa, after the club decided to make a change following the disastrous 4-0 loss to Tottenham.
We now understand that Leeds are finalising the paperwork for Marsch's work-permit and he is expected to be in charge ahead of their game with Leicester City on Saturday.
We learned earlier this month that Marsch was looking to make the move to the Premier League in 2022, after he was sacked by RB Leipzig earlier this season.
Despite his axing by Leipzig, Marsch remains very highly-rated within football circles and his return to management has been keenly anticipated.
Marsch will now be tasked with keeping Leeds United in the Premier League. The Whites are currently 16th, just two points above the relegation zone and have the worst defensive record in the top-flight - conceding 60 goals in the league already.
Marsch is now set to become the second American to take charge of a Premier League club, following on from his close friend Bob Bradley - who had an ill-fated spell in charge of Swansea City in 2016, which lasted less than 100 days.
