Ghana striker Jordan Ayew is 'ready to fight' for a starting berth as Olympique Marseille prepare to wrest the Ligue 1 crown back from Lille.

Ayew, who turns 20 on Sunday, broke into the first team at the Stade Velodrome last season scoring two goals in 26 appearances.

Competing with new arrivals and old faces at Marseille will not come easy but Ayew remains optimistic of playing regularly this term.

"I'm young, I train every day to the bottom and I am growing. I am in a big club and I am lucky to be here today so I'm not complaining. I work and it will pay. I will not lie, I want more playing time but is for me to train hard," He said at a Marseille Press Conference on Thursday.

"As I said, I am ready to play. I am available to the team. We must ask the coach but I, at least, I'm 100%"

Jordan started in Ghana's 1-0 loss to Brazil in the international friendly on Monday.
