Ghana youth forward Joel Fameyeh recovered from the deadly coronavirus scare to score for Orenburg FC in their 4-1 loss against Zenit St. Petersburg in midweek.

Orenburg FC were aware of their stands in the Russian Premier League before making the trip to the Gasprom Arena to engage Zenit.

The xx lads demotion to the second-tier was confirmed last week after losing six consecutive matches since the resumption.

Zenit, as expected, started the game brightly and opened the scoring via an own goal by Andrey Malykh in the 2nd minute.

But Joel Fameyeh restored parity for the visitors in the 32nd minute.

Iranian star Sardar Azmoun scored twice on the 61st and 77th minutes respectively before Artem Dzyuba made late goal to hand Zenit a 4-1 home victory.

Fameyeh has netted seven goals for Orenburg in the Russian Premier League this season in 20 games.

He tested positive for coronavirus some weeks ago.
