John Pantsil confident of England stay

Ex-Fulham defender John Pantsil is confident he will stay in England to sign for another club.

The right-back’s contract at Craven Cottage was not extended after it expired at the end of last season.

Clubs in France, Spain and Israel are said to be keen on the defender but the strongest interest has come from clubs in England.

As the Premier League is the most popular in Ghana, Pantsil says he is likely to join an English side in the coming days.

Pantsil joined West Ham United after the 2006 World Cup before moving to Fulham and he told TV3 that wants to stay in England.

"It's my first choice and we are close to that but I want everything signed before I talk about it," Pantsil said.

"I have loved my time there (England) so far." he added.

With clubs busy in the transfer market and pre-season already underway there are fears over his club future.

But the Ghana international insists there are offers on the table and his future will be sorted out in the coming days.

Pantsil is one of the most popular players ever to ply their trade at Fulham and they will miss his enthusiasm and laps of honour.
