Berekum Arsenals assistant coach Johnson Smith will take full charge of the club's Premier League home game against Aduana Stars on Sunday.
The former Kotoko coach has been elevated following the resignation of Anthony Baffour Awuah on Thursday.
Awuah parted ways with the club after just six matches citing personal reasons.
Smith, who was the head coach of the club last season until the appointment of Awuah this term, will attempt to reverse their fortunes.
The club are yet to appoint a substantive boss but it is widely believed that Johnson Smith will be confirmed as head coach due to the club's financial position.
