Ghanaian forward Jonathan Opoku scored for VVV Venlo in their 2-1 victory against RKC Waawijk in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

Emil Hansson put Waalwijk ahead with 15 minutes on the clock.

Venlo coach Hans de Koning made changes including John Yeboah, after half time as they went in search for redemption in the game.

The substitutions paid dividend as the Yellows pulled level through Jonathan Opoku in the 76th minute.

Oussama Darfalou emerged the hero for the visitors following his 82nd minute goal to earn the three points.

Opoku played 90 minutes for the victors.
