Jordan Ayew form excites brother Andre

Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew is delighted his younger brother Jordan is making progress in the Olympique Marseille set-up after Wednesday night's goodish display in the French League Cup.

Jordan, 18, powered down the right flank and his cross found elder brother Andre, who headed home from close range two minutes to halftime.

The youngster broke into the Marseille first team two seasons and has since been making cameo appearances for the French champions.

Andre, an established player in the first team, hopes his promising sibling can get more playing time.

"It's always nice to score, especially in a cup match where only the victory is important. We have qualified for the next round and I'm also happy that Jordan was given some playing time, it is good for him. On top of that he gave me a good pass just before I scored, we have to keep on like that, it's good for Marseille," he told the club's website.

Jordan played in Ghana's first two matches of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Swaziland and Sudan.

He was on target for the national Under-20 team last Saturday during the final 2011 African Youth Championship against Benin in Accra.
