'Jordan was our best player upfront' -Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira after Manchester United defeat

Crystal Palace manager, Patrick Vieira has praised the performance of Ghana forward Jordan Ayew in the defeat to Manchester United despite missing a glorious opportunity in the game.

Ayew lined up with Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke in Vieira's attacking trio against Manchester United, but could not end his goal drought as Palace lost 1-0 at Old Trafford.

"I believe that our front three could've held the ball better. I think we didn't keep the ball well enough upfront. And I think talking about Jordan, of course he had the big chance of the game and he didn't take it. But on the side I think he was fantastic for us today. His work ethic. I think he was the best player upfront," Vieira told the press after the game.

Ayew was replaced by Michael Olise in the 84th minute as the Eagles suffered a third defeat on a row.
