Celta Vigo defender Joseph Aidoo has apologised to Zinedine Zidane after clattering into the Real Madrid boss on the sidelines.

The unfortunate incident happened during Sunday's La Liga clash which ended 2-2 at the Bernabeu.

In the 61st minute of the clash, the Frenchman was barking instructions to his players when Celta defender Joseph Aidoo slipped as he tried to keep the ball from going out of play.

Aidoo completely lost his balance, fell on his back and caught Zidane flush in the mouth with a left boot.

The 24-year-old wrote on his Instagram "Sir Zidane, my sincere apologies for the clash in the game. I truly hope you are okay. Sending positive vibes your way. Much respect."
