Josh Acheampong continues to shine in blue, with the 19-year-old defender playing a key role in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Djurgarden in the Europa Conference League semi-final second leg.
The talented defender, who made his professional debut last season, has grown in confidence under new boss Enzo Maresca.
Acheampong featured at Stamford Bridge in the European clash, adding another big stage to his growing reputation. He credited Maresca for backing him with belief, saying, "He gives me a lot of confidence so every time I get on the pitch, I want to repay him and try my best."
Acheampong also made clear his deep love for the club, adding, "I love the club, so as long as I can stay here my whole life, I will do it."
He signed a long-term deal last December, keeping him at Chelsea until 2029. The defender first appeared professionally in a Premier League win over Tottenham on 2 May 2024, just days before his 18th birthday.
