Inter forward Stevan Jovetic has calmed rumours of a clash with coach Roberto Mancini after the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 loss to Lazio.

The Montenegrin forward was substituted as the Biscione lost their four-point lead over Scudetto rivals Fiorentina and to add to Mancni’s worries, Felipe Melo was also sent off in the match and will now miss three games through suspension.

“Many things have been said about it and honestly I was quite surprised,” said Jovetic in an interview with Premium Sport.

“Nothing happened, I felt just a little guilty for my bad performance. Ask Mancini, nothing happened, we have a good relationship and that’s the important thing.”

Jovetic has impressed for Inter since he joined from Manchester City in the summer and in 13 appearances during the 2015-16 season he has put four goals and two assists to his name.
