JUVENTUS captain CHIELLINI after long-term injury: "The worst part is over, but now I'm ahead of the hardest one"

Back to the pitch after a 6-month long injury stop, Italian international centre-back and Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini (35), after Bianconeri victory over bottom table side Brescia stated: “The worst part is over, but now I'm ahead of the hardest one. I'm happy, anyway, and I'm coming back slowly. Today, I thank the coach and my teammates because I needed a shock of energy, and this quarter hour gave me it. Now, I have to work hard and catch up, to help my teammates, because in the last three months we have been playing all the competitions. My hope is to be ready for the key games. I hope that over these next weeks to continue to improve and to be able to make my contribution, now that the real business end is coming. As I’m back, Juve are leading the standings, with a good result also obtained in the first leg of the Coppa Italia and with the next stage of the Champions League coming, so I just have to thank my teammates for what they have done in these long five and a half months. I hope to bring a wave of enthusiasm, to those who have perhaps played a lot, it can be useful. Now we have a full month before the break, where there’s already an important crossroads for our season. Now we need to go for the league and it’s very important to get the points regardless of who is second or third. We are all there and it will be more beautiful also for the spectators, but we must think only of ourselves. We need all to be a united Juve, from the President to the employees”.
