While all clubs initially joining in are quitting, and most of them apologizing to their fans and supporters, Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli, apparently the most head-straight-into-the-project club patron, together with Real Madrid owner Florentino Perez, told international press agency Reuter, determining a de facto shutdown of the Super League-related plan: "The Super League project won't carry on. Nonetheless, I'm still adamant it would have been the best sports competition ever, on a worldwide scale".
