According to reports in the leading Italian sports newspaper preliminary contacts have been made between Udinese and Juventus over Asamoah.
Udinese president Pozzo is holding out for his valuation of the midfielder, €15 million, and has already rejected a €12 million bid from Man United.
That's the same amount Juve are prepared to lay on the table.
But the Italian champions are gearing up for a counter-attack that includes Pazienza and co-ownership of Luca Marrone in the offer.
Juventus are on the verge of announcing the arrival of Paul Pogba, the midfield prodigy snatched on a free from Manchester United.
Also arriving soon will be Marco Verratti, Pescara's 19-year-old playmaker who has just received his first call-up to the Italy squad by Cesare Prandelli.
