Juventus keen to keep Chelsea winger

Juventus are keen to reach an agreement with Premier League side Chelsea to make loanee Juan Cuadrado stay in Turin permanently.

The 27-year-old Colombia international left Fiorentina in January 2015 but made his Serie A return to the Juventus Stadium just eight months later after not settling in London under coach José Mourinho. During his brief spell in West London, the winger featured in 13 Premier League games, starting just four.

With Cuadrado’s loan with the Bianconeri due to conclude in June, Italian newspaper Tuttosport reported that the Old Lady are now planning to meet Chelsea to set the terms of a permanent signing. Though a verbal agreement already exists, the two clubs still have to ratify the deal.

Cuadrado proved decisive during Wednesday night’s 1-0 win against Genoa, when his shot was deflected into the net by Rossoblu defender Sebastian De Maio.

The South American has made 17 Serie A appearances so far this season, scoring two goals as well as assisting five.
