Juventus reject West Ham United approach for starlet

Premier League side West Ham United have seen an approach for Juventus youngster Rolando Mandragora turned down.

The Hammers are believed to be after the 19-year-old midfielder, who has been recently acquired by the Bianconeri from Genoa.

According to GazzaMercato, the Old Lady hierarchy have rejected a loan proposal from the London side, preferring to keep the player at the Juventus Stadium.

The refusal has raised questions about the amount of playing time that the talented midfielder will obtain in Turin, as Massimiliano Allegri’s midfield is crowded by talented and experienced players, such as new signing Miralem Pjanic, as well as Paul Pogba, Claudio Marchisio, and Sami Khedira,

A loan opportunity for Mandragora could have been beneficial for the development of the young midfielder, as it seems unlikely that he will get much playing time at the Juventus Stadium in the next season.

Mandragora spent last season on loan at newly promoted Pescara, where he accumulated 26 Serie B appearances.
