Juventus to compete with Inter in race for Manchester City midfielder

Juventus are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Manchester City star Yaya Toure, with the reigning Italian champions aiming to strengthen their midfield.

The Ivorian international has a contract with the Citizens until June 2017 but has expressed his desire to leave England spurning the chance to work with incoming coach Pep Guardiola.

As reported by Tuttosport, the 32-year-old will command a fee in the region of around €6-7 million, which may prove to be a stumbling block for the Bianconeri, although they have yet to conduct negotiations.

Juve however, will need to compete with a host of clubs which include Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and most notably fierce rivals Inter, who have been long-term admirers of the former Barcelona player.

Toure has been a key cog in City’s midfield upon leaving Barcelona in 2010 helping the club clinch two Premier League titles, while also establishing himself as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the world.
