German physiotherapy company, Kanzlsperger, through their partner Professor Jonathan Quartey, have donated to Ghanaian football club Accra Shooting Stars.
The club based in Achimota received several injury recovery products after training on Thursday morning.
Having established a good working relationship with Accra Shooting Stars, Professor Quartey decided to aid the club by delivering the items which is expected to boost the team's medical and physio department.
Professor Quartey, widely known for his roles at the various national football teams of Ghana, disclosed that Shooting Stars' determination and desire to ensure their players receive the best physical treatment endeared them to him, making them the first club in the country to receive the products.
"I have worked with some of the players. The club has been particular about their physiotherapy. Shooting Stars are the first team to receive these items. On behalf of Kanzlsperger I present these products to the club," Prof Quartey said as he presented the items.
At the presentation were players and officials of the club including Vice President Isaac Ansah, who received the products on behalf of the club.
"The health and wellbeing of the players is of concern for us. Obviously, being the first team in Ghana to receive these products, it will be of great benefit to our players. I mean we have employed a full-time physio and this should tell you how important that is to us," said Mr Ansah, who also expressed gratitude to Prof Quartey and Zaklspeger.
Accra Shooting Stars have been one of the best lower-tier sides in the country with most of their best players finding their way to Europe in recent times.
