Karela United begin investigations into FA Cup violence after Medeama clash

Management of Ghana Premier League side, Karela United, are set to begin investigations into the unfortunate violence that broke after their FA Cup defeat to Medeama SC. 

Players of their regional rivals, Medeama SC, were attacked with midfielder Eric Kwakwa beaten to the pulp, leaving him soaked in blood.

The bus of the Mauve and Yellows was also vandalised after the game at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase.

The FA swiftly responded to the incident by banning Karela United from using the CAM Park for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Karela United in a release on Monday morning have launched investigations into the violence that broke at the end of the match.

According to the club they will assist authorities in their investigations and have condemned the act by 'a group of persons' reported to be fans of the team.

Karela United lost 2-1 to Medeama SC to bowed out of the competition in the last 32 stage.
