Head coach of Karela United Jimmy James Cobblah is confident about his outfits resurgence despite unimpressive start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The former Anyinase-based has been poor since the commencement of the domestic top-flight. They have suffered back-to-back defeats after two games into Ghana’s elite competition.
Karela United succumbed to a narrow defeat to giants Asante Kotoko in their season opener at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex followed by a 1-0 defeat to Berekum Chelsea at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park last Sunday.
Just two games into the season, Karela United find themselves in the relegation drop and are yet to even pick a point.
But coach Cobblah is confident his outfit can turn things around to make impact in the Ghanaian top-flight.
“We have a very young squad and I think with time, we will do well in the Ghana Premier League. If I had won my first two games, there would still be pressure” he said.
Karela United will come up against the embattled Accra Lions in matchday three of the Ghana Premier League.
Both teams will be looking forward to securing their first win of the season following two consecutive defeats respectively.
