Karela United FC midfielder Umar Bashiru is targeting a transfer to Europe at the end of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

The lanky enforcer won many admirers with his impressive performance for Karela United in the 2-2 stalemate against AshantiGold SC on Matchday 1 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Bashiru was duly awarded the Man-of-the-Match gong after his scintillating display at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

The former WAFA star is eyeing a move to Europe to continue his burgeoning career.

Personally my target is to be in Europe at the end of the season, and to also help Karela to achieve great things,” Bashiru told Silver FM’s SportsCenter show.

Every player wants to play in either England, Spain, Germany or Italy, so that’s my target,” he concluded.

Bashiru joined Karela United FC as a free agent after he was released by Asante Kotoko in the off-season.
