Karela United FC have completed the signing of eight players who joined the club on the transfer deadline day on Wednesday.

The Aiyinase based are augmenting their squad as they look to avoid relegation at the end of the season.

Before the suspension of the Ghana Premier League, Karela United were lying 17th on the league standings with only 11 points from 14 games.

Kingsley Osei Effah and Evans Owusu have joined on-loan until the end of the season from Asante Kotoko SC.

The duo have not been able to command regular playing time at the Porcupine Warriors since the arrival of coach Maxwell Konadu.

Former Ghana U20 and New Edubiase United striker Umar Abdul Basit has also joined the 'Passion and Pride' lads for the rest of the season.

Highly-rated players Thomas Gyawu and Richard Berko have also been signed and registered by Karela United from second-tier side Bekwai Youth Football Academy.

Midfielder Umar Bashiru has also joined from Division One outfit Wa Suntaa SC along with unattached defender Lawrence Owusu.

Former Berekum Chelsea, Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC forward Benneth Ofori Ansu has also signed for Karela United.

Earlier in the week, the club announced the appointments of Evans Adotey and Mallam Yahaya as technical director and head coach respectively.
