Karikari eyes more goals for AIK Stockholm

Ghanaian striker Kwame Amponsah Karikari believes his hat-trick against AFC United in AIK Stockholm's 5-0 friendly win has given him the right impetus to bag more goals in the coming season.

The 21-year-old scored his first pre-season goals for Andreas Alm's side on Monday underlining his striking credentials with a sensational hat-trick.

After a paltry two goals in five games, Karikari helped AIK to take off really took off in the match, reviving their hopes for the upcoming season.

Karikari, who was a member of the 2011 unsuccessful Ghana U20 side is confident he would rake in more goals for the Swedish giants.

"Its really great to score goals and the hat-trick has really powered me for more goals. I would work hard to score more goals," he told Ghanasoccernet.com.

"I hadn't had much playing time before that game and I made the chance count so I want to repeat that performance in all games I play this season."

The former Inter Allies forward played a starring role in AIK's Europa League campaign last season as he scored goals against CSKA Moscow and PSV Eindhoven.
