Assistant coach of Kariobangi Sharks Charles Ballo Thuku says he can't answer questions on whether star forward Erick Kapaito will play a part in their forthcoming CAF Confederation Cup match against Asante Kotoko.

Sharks will welcome the Porcupine Warriors to the MISC Kasarani Stadium on Saturday, December 13.

But reports emerged in Kenya last month that Erick Kapaito could navigate through the first leg match minus their influential forward Erick Kapaito after the 27-year-old suffered an injury.

Coach Thuku was coy to disclose whether the sharp-shooter will be involved in the game when quizzed on the availability of the star hitman.

While Thuku did not give a direct answer to the question, it does appear that Kapaito could make the matchday squad, given the manner in which he answered the question.

"On Erick Kapaito, maybe he will be out or can play, we don't know as of now, it depends on the medics, it’s a 50-50 situation, he can play or cannot play, I can't just tell you, it’s our card to keep and we are keeping to our chest,” Coach Thuku told Oyerepa FM.

Kapaito was adjudged the MVP in the 2018 Kenyan Premier League.
