Kayserispor star Joseph Attamah to miss 2022 World Cup due to injury

Ghana and Kayseripor defender Joseph Attamah Larweh will not get the chance to fight for a place in the Black Stars squad for the World Cup after picking up an injury. 

The 28-year-old has been ruled out for several months due to the setback and Turkish outfit Kayserispor have not registered the versatile player for the first half of the season.

Attamah Larweh will not make a competitive appearance for the club before the squad for the World Cup is named.

"Information Our professional football player Joseph Attamah was not included in the registration list of the Turkish Football Federation due to his injury. Accordingly, Attamah will not be able to take part in Super League matches during the first half of the season. Yukatel Kayserispor Club," wrote Kayserispor on Twitter.

Ghana have qualified for the global showpiece which begins in November in Qatar.

The Black Stars have lined up friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua later this month in France and Spain respectively.
