Bruno Fernandes jokingly claimed responsibility for Marcus Rashford being named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for January.
Manchester United’s star striker, Marcus Rashford, has been awarded the Premier League Player of the Month for January, following a string of impressive performances.
The England international bagged three goals in four appearances during the month, helping his side secure two victories, including a crucial victory over city rivals Manchester City.
Rashford’s standout moment came in a thrilling defeat to league leaders Arsenal, where he expertly fired in a long-range effort. His performances earned him the top-flight award, as well as the club award voted for by supporters.
The forward celebrated his double win by sharing a photo on Instagram holding both trophies. Rashford took the time to pay tribute to his teammates for their support and contribution to his award-winning month.
“The last month couldn’t have gone better for me. On a personal note, it’s the first time I’ve won these awards together and hopefully not the last. Thank you to my teammates, the coaches, my family and the fans for helping me to win these awards,” the Attacker said.
Bruno Fernandes cheekily took credit for Rashford’s accolade and said “You welcome”, showcasing the strong bond and team spirit within the Manchester United squad.
