Enzo Fernandez breaks silence following racist song backlash
Enzo Fernandez is currently at the center of backlash following a video he shared during Argentina Copa America celebrations, where a racist song is heard.
Argentina became Copa America champions for a second time in a row following a 1-0 win over Colombia on July 14.
As the players were celebrating their win, Fernandez was broadcasting a live video on Instagram. During the live stream, the players were heard singing the first two lines of the song, ‘on passport, French nationality, listen, spread the word, they play in France, but they are all…’, before someone is heard saying, ‘cut the video’.
The Chelsea star is being now criticised for the video and has taken to X to share an apology.
