Reports suggests this culminates from Potter’s comments yesterday after Liverpool draw. Speaking in the aftermath of the clash at Anfield, Potter suggested his side are still short in some areas are may likely need reinforcements soon.

“Of course we have a good squad, exceptional talents. But you always have to look to keep improving the squad” Potter replied to the question of feeling relaxed with the quality of his side.

Chelsea have been extremely busy in the January transfer window already. And they show no sign of slowing down soon after Potter’s comments.

The Blues are reportedly lining-up a fresh offer in the region of £65million for Brighton star Moises Caicedo. The Blues saw their initial £55million bid rejected for the Ecuador international last week but Todd Boehly is not expected to give up on acquiring Caicedo’s services.

Now, after seeing their first attempt turned down, Chelsea are set to test Brighton’s resolve regarding Caicedo with an improved bid. That’s according to the Mirror, who claim the Blues will launch another raid for one of Brighton’s key assets with an offer in the region of £65million.

The report claims there’s hope the value will be enough to tempt the Seagulls in allowing Caicedo to make the switch following Roberto De Zerbi’s comments on Friday.

Chelsea are also keen on using Hakim Ziyech as incentive for Barcelona to release wantaway midfielder Franck Kessie this January with the Ivorien wanting more game time away from Barcelona.

The Blues are also said to be lining more moves this January with Todd Boehly keen on returning the club to a place amongst Europe’s elites.
