Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray and Orlando Magic first-round pick Paolo Banchero of the 2022 draft took part in a Zeke-End League semi-amateur game.
At one point Murray tricked Banchero and then scored from above, after which he said something to the young Italian. After the game, the players exchanged invectives on social media.
“Unsubscribed from me. Apparently, it’s something personal. Okay, next time be ready to defend and don’t ask for backup,” Banchero wrote.
After I backed you up when you were just a kid, you tried to brag about your first pick. At one time you were picking up the ball for me. You’re not that humble young man anymore, and I’m always still me. You’ve changed and lost my respect. Be more humble. Things are going to get serious in your life now, Dejounte replied.
