Upon further investigation, I noticed that if you shrink the browser window a bit then the ‘register’ button pops up at the bottom, as if it were in mobile-version. So in order to register, you need to do the previously stated steps or register on your phone’s browser. They will ask for your basic info, phone number and ask that you create a username and password.
