Lazio attacker Balde Keita has came out in support of Napoli defender Kalidou Kouliably after Wednesday evening’s events at the Stadio Olimpico.

The game was halted midway through the second-half when the Frenchman was subjected to racist abuse from sections of the Lazio support.

“This sport is more than white or black or green,” Balde wrote on his Instagram, accompanied by an image of the two players embracing at full-time.

“Admiration for you, man!”

The Partenopei consolidated their position at the summit of the Serie A table with a 2-0 win over the Aquile and it is not the first occasion in which sections of the Biancocelesti support have indulged in racist behaviour.

UEFA fined the Italian side for racist conduct during a Europa League clash with Maribor in 2012.

The Italian FA have ordered the closure of the Curva Nord for the Aquile’s next two home games and fined the club €50,000.
