Kevin-Prince Boateng has launched a scathing attack on people doubting his loyalty to the course of the senior national team, the Black Stars.

The AC Milan midfielder has come under intense criticisms lately, for failing to show up for some key games and has been labeled disloyal and ungrateful to Ghana considering the platform offered him at the 2010 World Cup.

This, is believed to have led to the somewhat friction between the player and Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic who refused to call-up the 24-year-old for Ghana’s double header against Swaziland and Brazil.

But Boateng using his twitter account has vehemently dismissed all these reports and went the extra mile by labeling activists of the news as liars.

“People saying I refused to play for my country are liars. People pretending they know the situation need to sort themselves out,” he said on his official Twitter page.

He stated in another tweet: “I’ll just say one thing. I love playing for my country and that has never changed.”

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic has however expressed his preparedness to welcome Boateng back to his squad for his side’s next assignment against Sudan and Nigeria.

He said before Ghana’s defeat to Brazil on Monday: “Yes, he is a fantastic player and for the next game I will speak to him again and hope he plays.

“For me the respect and conduct of all the players is important and I am sure the next game we will agree because I hope, I want him to come and play.”
