Kevin-Prince Boateng pushing for starting berth at Turkish side Besiktas

Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng is pushing for a starting berth at Turkish giants Besiktas following his swashbuckling debut over the weekend.

Boateng joined the Black Eagles on a six-month loan deal with the option to buy from Fiorentina in the January transfer window.

The 32-year-old climbed off the bench to score on his debut in their xx win against Gaziantep.

He won the great appreciation of everyone with his performance and the goal he scored in his first match -which has come as a message to coach Sergen Yalçın to get a place in the starting line-up.

Boateng could get a starting berth when they travel to the BaÅŸakÅŸehir Fatih Terim Stadium to engage Istanbul BaÅŸakÅŸehir after a below-par performance from Adem Ljajic who he replaced in the win against Gaziantep.

Besiktas, who are sitting 7th with 36 points from 21 matches, are aiming to clinch of the European places at the end of the season.
