Kevin-Prince Boateng solid Besiktas JK debut not a surprise to Italian journalists

Italian journalists Gaetano Mocciaro and Michele Ruotolo were not surprised by Kevin-Prince Boateng's outstanding debut for Besiktas JK on the weekend.

The Ghanaian forward joined the Black and Whites on the deadline day of the winter transfer window on-loan from Italian side AFC Fiorentina.

Boateng was unleashed on Saturday to mark his debut for his new club when they faced FK Gazienktep in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 32-year old came off the bench in the second half for Adem Ljajic and grabbed the second goal in the 70th minute in the 3-0 win.

The two journalists emphasized that Boateng should achieve stability in his evaluation to the Black Eagles.

Tuttomercato reporter Gaetano Mocciaro said, “It did not surprise me that he had a good start. The player's strength, leadership and leagues of Turkey did not surprise him that it was appropriate due to my thinking, "he said.

"Boateng's hardness stands out as a feature that will be loved by the stands. Despite being a 'butcher' football player, Felipe Melo became the lover of Galatasaray fans. Boateng is better than him. A player who produces extra scores and scores good-looking goals. I think he will do even better as long as he does not lose his motivation and become a fan of the fans." Mocciaro added.

Calcionews' Michele Ruotolo also pointed out the importance of motivation for the coming period, stating that the first match performance of the Boateng was natural.

"Boateng usually makes good starts on their new team," Ruotolo said

"If there is a drop in performance, this will occur in the coming months. Technically, he is already a top football player. The most important point here will be to continue to provide this scoring mentally."
