Keylor Navas: Pochettino's saviour at PSG

Published on: 17 January 2021

Paris Saint-Germain have regained leadership of Ligue 1 after beating Angers on Saturday and once again it was Keylor Navas who was crucial for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

The Costa Rican keeper impressed in the 1-0 away victory after also starring in the Trophee des Champions win over Marseille on Wednesday.

That title made Navas the CONCACAF player with the most titles in European football of all time.

PSG are still adapting to Pochettino's style and some players such as Neymar aren't in great form, but Navas seems to be back to his best in this transitionary period.

"We're trying to adapt to the coach's ideas. We're very motivated," said Navas after the game.

"We're trying to have a good block and be good at transitions. We're managing to apply his ideas.

"Everything is good and we have to keep working."

PSG top Ligue 1 with two points more than Lyon and three more than Lille, but both have a game in hand over the Paris club.
