King Faisal defy coronavirus ban to scout for talents, social distancing rules up in smoke
King Faisal have been scouting for talents despite a ban on football activities

Premier League side King Faisal have bravely defied government orders by holding a talent spotting exercise despite a complete ban on football activities in Ghana.

Serbian coach Slaviša Božičić and his assistant Mustapha Balewa have been scouring the inner city of Kumasi scouting for talents to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

The club threw caution into the wind on Monday by abandoning social distancing guidelines amid the coronavirus shutdown in the West African nation.

While there is ban on football activities in Ghana, King Faisal appears to be living on a different planet by completely ignoring the directive by government and the Ghana Football Association.

It's unclear if the Ghana FA will take drastic action against the Premier League side for the braven display of bravado by ignoring the directive from the country's president Nana Akufo Addo.

Despite the country's Covid-19 death toll approaching approaching 200, the Kumasi-based side dismissed any safety concerns to unearth talents.

Coach Slaviša Božičić, who recently signed a three-year contract extension, has been captured scouting for talents with a total disregard for safety etiquette.

Fearing a massive backlash, Faisal immediately deleted a post on facebook announcing the club's adventure in unearthing new talents.

However, the eagle eye of enterprising sports journalist Hussein Adams, who works with powerful Sunyani-based radio station Nimdee FM captured the announcement.

"Our hardworking headcoach Slaviša Božičić and his assistant Mustapha Balewa have been scouring the inner cities scouting for talents to augment the depth of the squad ahead of the new season." Faisal posted on their official facebook page.

It's unclear how the Ghana Football Association will react to the latest directive snub by the struggling Premier League side.
