Kingsley Boateng biding his time at AC Milan

AC Milan's Ghanaian teenager Kingsley Boateng does not expect to become a first team regular soon after scoring his season's first goal for the youth side on Saturday.

The 18-year-old struck a classic goal for Junior Rossoneri with a left-foot in their 3-0 win over Cesena at the Vismara sports centre in Milan in the Italian Primavera League.

Boateng was tipped for more playing time in Max Allegri's side but was pegged back by a knee injury in September which sidelined him for a month.

He made the headlines after scoring on his senior team debut in a pre-season 1-0 win over Swedish side Malmo in August.

But Boateng claims he wants to add more to his credentials before a having a crack with the senior side.

"I'm doing my best for now and I don't want to talk about playing in the Serie A. There's Pato, Ibrahimovic and Robinho so I need to learn some more," Boateng exclusively told GHANAsoccernet.com

"I have to take my time and when the opportunity comes, I make the most out of it."

He has been nicknamed "The new Balotelli" as the Italians seek to convince the Ghana-born player to play for them.

Boateng scored his debut goal for Italy's Under-19 side in a friendly against Montenegro last week but he is still eligible to play for Ghana.

The player's guardian angel John Tsegli said: " He is in top shape and no doubt about his potential. We hope things go well for him."
