Ghanaian midfielder Kingsley Sarfo scored on his debut for Malmo FF in their 3-3 stalemate against his previous side Sirius IK in the Swedish top flight league at the Swedbank Stadion on Saturday.

The silky attacking midfielder has been itching for his bow in Malmo colours since joining the club from Sirius last month but could not help his new employers overcome his former side as they were held by a late Philip Haglund’s strike.

The Swedish giants opened the scoring in the 6th minute courtesy striker Jo Inge Berget with a low shot.

Berget scored his second of the afternoon with five minutes before the break as Malmo looked to have wrapped up the game from there on.

However, Jesper Arvidsson pulled one back for the visitors in the 66th minute but Sarfo restored Malmo’s two-goal lead just three minutes later from a defensive mishap.

Stefano Vecchia reduced the deficit in the 82nd minute before Philip Haglund sealed a memorable comeback in the 90th minute with a thumping header.

Sarfo was handed a debut Black Stars call-up by coach Kwesi Appiah for last month’s 2019 Africa Cup Nation qualifier but he turned down the opportunity by opting to represent Sweden ahead of Ghana.

Ghanasoccernet, please do your homework before publishing news that he's a Ghanaian attacking midfielder. Say Ghana-born! He rejected Kwasi Appiah's call up and has chosen Sweden over Ghana so stop reporting as if he's a potential black star material. He wudnt have cemented a place in the team ---and its good he chose Sweden over us. They can have him ---but this means Akwasi Appaih must call either foreign-borns or Ghanaians who are in form and can play or are willing to play for the nation ---- like Richmond Boakye, Andy Yiadom, Dennis APPIAH, Albert Adomah, Kwadwo Poku, Joe Dodoo and others. Stop calling mediocre players into the team ----- we need in-form players ---and better recall Sulley and Kevin and stop all the shit ---cos this blackstar team is nothing to write home about. We keep wasting money on a mediocre team that wins no LAURELS ----they never do! If we have in-form players and u can't manage them well or call them to help, why should taxpayer money be kept wasting? U pocketed $150,000 sign on fee and u must bring back everyone who can help the team even if they have wronged u or the GFA before ---and i mean in-form players; simply learn to manage them well and u will get results ---and stop wasting our time and money!
