Kingston remains resolute on international career

Midfielder Laryea Kingston insists he is not finished with his international career.

The 31-year-old is refusing to give up on a possible recall to the Black Stars despite being left out in the cold for almost two years due to his inability to secure a long lasting deal with a club.

The former Hearts of Oak midfielder won even more admirers after excelling in the Sammy Kuffour testimonial game on Friday with many at the stadium calling for his immediate return to the Black Stars.

Others however see the calls as a big joke following his inactivity from club football for a while now but Kingston who was until two months ago on the books of Israeli club Hapoel Be'er Sheva says his aim of returning to the national team to ultimately play at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil remains intact.

"I am still an active player who has not retired from the national team," he said.

"I only have to work hard and hope I get the chance to play at the World Cup."
