Hearts of Oak coach C.K Akunnor has dismissed reports midfielder Laryea Kingston will not be part of his plans for the upcoming season.

Reports of Kingston’s situation at Hearts erupted following the 31-year-old’s inability to join the team for the residential camping exercise in Takoradi.

Akunnor has however come to clear the air sayng the ex Lokomotiv Moscow player was taken ill just about the time the team left Accra last Sunday.

“Laryea (Kingston) was not well at the time we were leaving for Takoradi and I understand he met with the team doctor today,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“So obviously we couldn’t take him along and not that he is not part of my plans for next season.

“I am sure he will join the rest of the team when his health is sorted out.”

Kingston joined Hearts last season in the bid to resurrect his career.

He however didn’t hit his fullest stride and is looking to step up his game in the upcoming season.
