After sustaining an injury during the game against Torino, Simon Kjaer is still working on an individual program at the training ground to recover. Therefore, he is likely to miss the Genoa clash on Sunday morning.

Speaking from Milanello, Sky Italia's correspondent Manuele Baiocchini provided an update on the defensive situation of Milan (via MilanNews.it). As he confirmed, Kjaer will indeed miss the game on Sunday which means there will be a duel.

Matteo Gabbia and Mateo Musacchio will go head-to-head for a spot in the starting eleven. The former replaced the Danish international in the Torino and Fiorentina games, but mainly because the Argentine was still struggling with an injury.

Therefore, it remains to be seen which decision Stefano Pioli will make, now that both players are considered fit for fight. The game, due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak, will be played behind closed doors at the San Siro.
