Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has warned his squad that they need to assert themselves and play their own game in tomorrow nights Europa League second leg at home to FC Augsburg.

Speaking in a press conference today, Klopp insisted, 'The situation is clear to us. There’s no reason to play FC Augsburg’s game. Augsburg aren’t just a counter attacking team. We are aware of their quality. We need to assert ourselves and play our game.'

The German also went on to talk about his excitement for the week ahead, with Sunday's league cup final following tomorrow nights Europa League second leg, but warned his squad not to look ahead to the Manchester City game.  'Tomorrow’s game is exciting. I can’t think of a week since I’ve been here that hasn’t been important. If you think about the second step before the first step you will always fall down.'
