Ghana captain John Mensah will miss Tuesday’s friendly against South Korea because of a knock he received in the country’s last game.

Mensah led the Black Stars to a 3-1 win Congo during Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kumasi.

But he received a knock during the game which has ruled him out of the trip to Seoul.

Even though the injury is not serious, coach Goran Stevanovic has allowed him to rest and recuperate.

It will also give the Black Stars captain the time to sort out his club future after being told he will not return to Sunderland.

Some clubs in England and Scotland have expressed interest in signing him.
