As a former midfielder he is known to use his midfield as the base of organising his side, using the centre to block the opponent with compact midfield while using wingers to start swift attacks.

Playing experience: He also enjoyed a distinguished career at club level with several major European sides. He started his career with Partizan Belgrade before playing for Osasuna, Farense, Setubal, and some other Portuguese side as well as Greek side Panelefsiniakos.
