England manager, Gareth Southgate, has named Kobbie Mainoo in his final squad for the 2024 European Championships while Jarrel Quansah has been dropped.
The final squad was announced on Thursday ahead of the start of the tournament on June 15.
Quansah has had an impressive breakthrough season with Liverpool but it was still not enough to earn him a spot in the squad. The 21-year-old defender has featured in 33 games for the Res across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Mainoo has already been capped by the Three Lions during the match international break. He has played 32 games across all competitions this season and has scored four goals.
Mainoo potentially playing in the Euros could mean the end of the possibility of him playing for Ghana’s Black Stars.
