Kofi Abanga to play for Hearts in second round

Published on: 21 January 2012

Hearts of Oak midfielder Kofi Abanga has been cleared to feature in the second half of the Ghana Premier League.

Abanga has not featured for the club since he ruptured both knees in a Premier League game last season.

He was expected to be fit to play a part in the club's campaign after making full recovery but he was not registered for league.

But management has moved quickly to register him for the second half of the league and will be an influential addition to their set-up when the league resumes on 19 February.

Abanga has penned a one-year extension to his existing contract at the club.
