Kotoko and Edubiase to be handed express Club Licensing Certificate for Africa

Published on: 27 September 2012

Asante Kotoko and New Edubiase will be handed an express Club Licensing System (CLS) certificates by the Ghana FA in order to participate in Africa next season.

This follows an enforced directive from FIFA by CAF to have all competing clubs in Africa fully operationalised on the system by next season.

The Ghana FA has however deferred the full actualisation of this directive until the 2013/14 season.

This was to allow clubs ample time to satisfy all requirements for the Club Licensing System (CLS).

Kotoko and Edubiase who will be representing Ghana in Africa next season will however be granted the certificate in order to compete haven satisfy some basic requirements.

This is a measure being put in place by the Ghana FA to ensure Ghana's participation slots in the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup for next season are not lost.
